Sun and Sea at the Dead Sea for Psoriasis

A course of Dead Sea climatotherapy improved psoriasis severity and quality of life.

Thalasso & Balneology, Holistic Wellbeing, Emotional Health

This study followed patients with psoriasis through a course of Dead Sea climatotherapy, a treatment combining controlled sunlight with bathing in the mineral-dense waters of the Dead Sea. Over the treatment period, psoriasis severity fell markedly and quality of life improved, in line with a long history of using this particular marine setting for skin conditions. As a prospective study without a comparison group, it tracks how people changed rather than proving the setting outperformed other treatments, and sun exposure carries its own longer-term skin considerations. Psoriasis is a stubborn, visible condition that carries real emotional weight, which is part of why relief matters beyond the skin itself. For a woman managing it, this supports Dead Sea therapy as an established option worth discussing with a dermatologist, sun exposure included in that conversation.
